SAGECO, Accountancy firm in Libourne, led by Thomas Blanchard and Hubert Biard of CVS Avocats advised the buyer while avocat Jean-Luc Couleuvre and Jean-Michel Gaudin of Cabinet BSF advised the seller.

The seller, purchased Chateau du Parc in April of 2011 and invested in upgrades and expansion resulting in an estate of 5.15 ha of parcels comprising gravels and clay/chalk located in St Sulpice des Faleyrens and in St Christophe des Bardes.

The new owner has purchased the estate which will form part of a larger Bordeaux vineyard investment project. The buyer will be using a powerful US marketing and distribution platform to introduce his Bordeaux wines throughout the United States. He believes that the Bordeaux brand has considerable potential in the US particularly for a very high quality targeted wine underwritten by Dr Raynaud’s reputation for excellence.

The seller intends to continue to invest and will be launching Chateau du Parc in the US billed as “the wine consultant’s wine.”

Client's Perspective

For my wife and I this partnership with a US investor, who is as enthusiastic about Bordeaux as we are, could not be a better way for us to transition on from our season as owners at Chateau du Parc.

We are proud to be carrying Dr Raynaud’s legacy into the future.
