Monsieur Fallay d’Este

July 24, 2019. Karin Maxwell from Vineyards-Bordeaux, Vineyard M&A transactions experts in Bordeaux and Exclusive Affiliate to Christie's International Real Estate, announces the sale by GFA Vignobles Marcel Petit of "Château Pillebois", AOC Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux located in Saint Magne de Castillon, including the 2018 stock to SCEA CHATEAU PILLEBOIS.

François Degos, Notary in Libourne, represented both parties, with the assistance of the SAFER.

SCEA des Vignobles Marcel Petit was created in 1986 by Mr Marcel Petit with the acquisition of Château Pillebois in the Castillon Côtes-de-Bordeaux appellation. In 1988, the vineyard was expanded with the acquisition of Châteaux Franc Lartigue and Grande Rouchonne, located in the Saint-Emilion appellation. That same year, the “Vignobles Marcel Petit” joined the “Independent Winegrowers of France”. In 1997, Mr. Marcel Petit retired and entrusted the vineyards to his daughter Elisabeth and his son-in-law Jean-Pierre Toxé. The vineyard has 22 hectares of vines in total, divided between Saint-Emilion and Castillon. It is the 11.87 ha in Castillon that have been sold today.

Client's Perspective

In 2013 we obtained the HVE 3 certification (High Environmental Value Level 3). This certification, which is gradual from 1 to 3, attests to our commitment to respect and balance the environment and biodiversity on our operations.

I would like to thank "Vineyards-Bordeaux" the vineyard transaction specialists, and especially Karin Maxwell who looked after me for accompanying me every step of the way, her professionalism, her involvement and her kindness without which completing the transaction would have been much more difficult. In addition, I appreciate her continuing help and support after the transaction.

Mr. Fallay d’Este The Buyer
