Located around Segonzac, this area of approx. 13000 ha produces very fine, high-quality Cognac on clay and compact chalk soils.

Not only does Grande Champagne produce the best cognac but it is also one of the most beautiful areas in Charente. Grande Champagne, often compared to the Italian Tuscany, is a country with open landscapes, changing at every turn, with hillsides jostling in all directions over which hang vineyards cultivated as a garden by local vignerons.
