Mr LACHARLOTTE & Mrs HULIN

The new owner has had a close relationship with Bordeaux and its wines for over 30 years having been one of the first in Asia to be awarded the prestigious “Commanderie de Bordeaux” title. His knowledge of Bordeaux wine drew him to select Chateau Mylord as among the best terroirs in the Bordeaux region as his first purchase. The new owner has engaged the local Bordeaux management company Optimum Vineyard Management and Consulting to operate the estate. He has also employed Touton Teisseire architects to oversee investments into the main chateau residence and wine making chai. Li Lijuan of Vineyards-Bordeaux has been engaged as interim manager for the new owner and will be assisting with exports of the wine to China. The name of the chateau will be changed to Chateau Milord to revert it to its original name and the “lieu-dit” of a number of its parcels.

It has been a pleasure to work with such a knowledgeable Chinese gentleman whose appreciation of wine and sensitivity to the chateau’s history greatly assisted the transition of the estate.
